Thursday July 9, 7pm-8pm (SA time), on Zoom
After almost 13 years of incredible activities, Anti-Poverty Network SA wants to invite members to an online info session to consider whether it is time for us to update our legal structure, by becoming an incorporated association.
(Currently, we are an unincorporated association, though registered with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission.)
This info session will explore what incorporation would mean for us:
-What the benefits might be
-What the process would look like: what we would need to do, and what cost would be involved
-How it might change how we operate, including what it might mean for our activism, and our politics.
We will be joined by Kristin O’Connell from Antipoverty Centre, who, like us, are also a grassroots, volunteer-run, community campaigning organisation, but who are incorporated.
All members welcome.
