Learning to fight back, together!!
From November 2025-July 2026, Anti-Poverty Network SA ran the Grassroots Campaigning School: an 8-month program for people who’ve experienced poverty, to build their confidence and skill to speak out on the issues affecting you and your loved ones!!
Sessions covered:
- Why we have a poverty crisis and a housing crisis
- Planning your own campaign
- How to plan an effective protect action
- How to deal with politicians
- How to speak to to the media
- Having conversations with your community (including that right-wing uncle!!)
- Doing your own research on topics you care about
- And lots more!!
It was one of the most important projects we have ever been part of, and we are proud to have supported people to become more able to participate in activism, and fight for the urent change we need.
