Sunday 26 April 2026
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Fremont Park, Elizabeth East
Corner of Yorketown Rd & Main North Rd
Join Anti-Poverty Network SA’s Northern Suburbs Branch for their FREE Community BBQ.
It’s about community, dignity and solidarity. Everyone is welcome.
There’s going to be community connection, free food and access to donated essentials: clothing, toys, books, kitchenware, bedding, sanitary items and more. Everything is free for those who need it.
This event is sponsored by local community group The Playford Women’s Shed and local businesses, and is for members, supporters, and the community. It’s a chance to socialise, have a chat about shared challenges, or maybe to seek some information on how to navigate the challenges associated with life, especially when living in poverty.
You can also learn more about who we are, what we do, and how you can get involved.
Fremont Park, including the BBQ area and playground are accessible, however be aware there is a large pond which is not fenced. For more information on the venue, please check here.
Anti-Poverty Network SA is a volunteer-run community advocacy group, made-up of job-seekers, pensioners, carers, students, sole parents, and allies, advocating for dignity and justice for all low-income people.
If you can afford it, on the day any gold coin donations are appreciated and cans & bottles also welcome.
