State Election Forum On Housing And Homelessness
(Adelaide Electorate)
Wednesday February 18, 6pm-8pm
Pilgrim Uniting Church Centre, 12 Flinders Street, Adelaide
Hear from people directly affected by the housing crisis, frontline services, and others, about the need for urgent action to tackle housing insecurity and homelessness, as well as candidates for the Adelaide electorate.
Homelessness services are under-the-pump, with funding declining; we have over 14,000 people on the public housing waiting-list; rents (and house prices) are still skyrocketing, causing huge pain, especially for renters on the lowest incomes.
What are we going to do about the housing and homelessness crisis? And what are the candidates planning to do?
Come along to this forum, to quiz the candidates, and connect with people who want to see governments take the actions we need to make truly affordable, secure housing a reality for all.
Hosted by Adelaide Day Centre for Homeless Persons, Anti-Poverty Network SA, Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council, Brian Burdekin Clinic, Pilgrim Uniting Church, and Better Renting.
