We stand with our member, Katie, and her son, Cassian.
Katie’s in a horrendous situation: she’s had to deal with our massive public housing shortfall (a few hundred extra homes just won’t cut it), and some very unfortunate comments from Housing SA staff.
Katie abolutely needs public housing. Her rental lease is ending – the house is water-damaged, and the landlord can’t afford the repairs.
She needs stable, secure, affordable housing, for her and her severely-disabled son Cassian.
We know there are thousands and thousands of people out there, just like Katie, who are finding it impossible to keep a roof over their head, who need more from the State Government than baby-steps.
We’ll do everything we can to help Katie and her family get the public housing she desperately needs.
