What have your experiences been like with job agencies?

My experiences with job agencies have not been that different from one another. there have been consultants that I’ve liked but then they end up leaving or I get swapped to someone else. There definitely has been the odd job network that I have liked.

Do you feel like you have received much meaningful support from them?

In my opinion Status has had more support than any of the others I’ve been too. But in the end it’s all just the ‘same shit, different day’ you’re just a number to them and the government.

What are some of the things you have found stressful and frustrating about dealing with job agencies?

So far only one of the things I have found stressful and frustrating about dealing with Job Agencies and also the government is the fact that volunteering isn’t considered an approved activity for people under 55.

What was the most difficult experience you have have had with a job agency?

Haha, not sure. I mean other than them being a nuisance and waste of time.

Do you think that “Mutual Obligations” help job-seekers find work?

No. It’s a stupid thing that’s been put in place and even now with the demerit system that clients have to deal with. It’s just added stress that shouldn’t be added to anyone’s life. And I’d probably have a job if it/they actually worked.
