The phrase, “job snob”, always grinds my gears.
Can we recognise that there are lots of jobs that are undesirable, that are unsafe, that you cannot build a life around, that offer no financial security or stability, that require you to live an unhealthy, unsocial existence, that require people to be nomads?
Can we recognise that?
And instead of looking down our noses at unemployed people who do not want to throw their lives into disarray for shit jobs, can we have a conversation about how to create better jobs?
